What to Bring

Field Gear

Spring in the mountains can be unpredictable — from sunburn to snow. The forecast calls for rain. We will be hiking and working in small, cold streams. Please plan for:

  • Chest waders and wading boots strongly recommended (email Dominique Shore if you need help getting a pair).
  • Outdoor layers: coats, gloves, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, a dry change of clothes and footwear for afterward.
  • No open-toed shoes allowed.
  • Work clothing suitable for a construction site.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided (work gloves, eye protection, hard hats, hearing protection). If you have your own PPE, feel free to bring it.

Allergies or medical conditions?
Please note them on the participant waiver.

Lunch and Snacks

Bring your own lunch and snacks to stay energized. Please also bring plenty of water and a refillable bottle. Water jugs will be available for refills.
